18/09/06: Mica Gabriel Isaac is born

On September 17, 2006 at 1:08 pm, Mica Gabriel Isaac was born. He was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 55 cm tall. Hermien's water broke at 1 am then she labored at home until pushing contractions began around 10 am at which point we headed over to the hospital. Three hours later and lots of sweat, the little guy was out. After Hermien's C-section 3 1/2 years ago with Noah, she was determined to experience natural childbirth thus she prepared well for this by reading lots and hiring a Doula, Mimi Pothaar. She delivered a successful VBAC with no drugs or interventions. We are all very proud of her. Noah is excited to be a big brother but is understandably struggling a bit with the divided attention. We are all very happy with our new family member and thankful for our two healthy boys.
